Ya estoy de vuelta …

Yeah, its, “I’m back” in Spanish.

Wow, it’s been almost 10 months since I stamped the latest post. So ok, what did I miss updating here. Well, it’s one of the hell of the list. But I’m gonna start with family and work.

1) Work: is fine. Just got my latest increment. This time is 2X better than last year’s, A lot of changes, but still work load, environment just stick to me this time.

2) Wife: getting hotter and hotter… Haha, kidding. (Gosh, I’m gonna get kill when she’s find out). She’s healthy as always, alhamdullilah. Both of us are getting closer together. And, it will be her birthday tomorrow! Gosh, I still do not know what to get for her. Things that she likes, I just do not dare to buy for her… cause it’s girl’s preferences!

3) House: like finally, we applied and officially got it! It’s like we tried 2-3 times… No! Frankly, we tried liked several times, 6-7 times to be exact! And well, we did not expect to get a Yishun estate, but after serious consideration among us, (which I had a difficult time to convince her) we totally agree with it. 2nd floor, a 5-room flat… was not our ideal kind of house, but we can endure it. Oh my god, we just can’t wait to step on it!

And we had completed like 70% of the agreement. Just wait for 1st Quarter of 2014 to get the flat complete. Well, hopefully we get it earlier… which some tales says it.

4) Mom: is, I would say getting better with her jaw but recently her knees are getting weaker. But if there’s a Malay event in Singapore Expo, she is one healthy woman again.

5) Dad: the amazing about him is that he managed to quit smoking, totally quit smoking! He complaint that he started to have chest pain and that’s the reason why. He’s going to be 55 years old this year, an age which people get rich. Hopefully, what he promised to Mum will come true. I salute you for quit smoking and yeah, you look slightly healthier!

6) Sibilings; brother has a new girlfriend and planning to get engage. Of all things, he decided this? Wow, I still think that he is still my 10 year old brother, which I always call him “Busrah” (a fat character from one of P.Ramlee’s movie). And sister, she too has a new boyfriend, and planning to get engage by this year. Hmm… Time really flies huh?

7) Parent’s in Law: they are enjoying their life. Holidays and holidays. It’s like every month, they sure have plans to go somewhere. But I know, my father in law really works for it and they deserve it. It’s so exciting to be in their shoes, but I think when we be in their age, things would be different, I guess. When you live in a “Fine” country, not only you got fine for not following rules, but money just gone like that without knowing.

8) Sister in laws: both doing fine. One gets a job and the other will be admit to NTU this August. We all are growing up so fast.

9) Me: and lastly, well, I think I have grown fatter. Hah! Ok, one of the best thing so far is, I GOT AN IPAD FREE from US. Yeah, I joined this Sweepstakes contest, and how lucky I am. Rocking it well and still crazy about cases. But Singapore just launch the iPad 2 which cost cheaper than the original iPad. Sheesh!

Ok, now it’s almost 600 word counts just for this post. I think I can create a short story book with just this post alone. I guess, I’ll stop now… And guess what, I’m hooked with Fringe Series! Yeah!

Vuelvo …

Wavin’ Flag

After listening to this song, it makes me misses World Cup so much. When the World Cup still on, everybody talks about it.

Found out about the singer,K’naan, who is a Somalian. He is a Muslim and likes hip hop and rap, when one day his father send him to US.

The meaning of this song, is very touching. Got this from Wikipedia.org

“The song’s celebratory performance belies the tragic first verse where K’naan recounts the experience when an 11-year-old K’naan and some childhood friends were attacked and fired on by gunmen in Mogadishu while they were playing. K’naan was not injured but his three friends were all shot dead. The song’s chorus — “When I get older/ I will be stronger/ They’ll call me freedom/ Just like a waving flag” — is a bold, self-affirming response to this experience.

That K’naan created the song “Waving Flag” out of those circumstances is seen to be of great value and interest to the track: inextricably linked to his own story, but ultimately not defined or restricted by it. “At some point it becomes a song,” says K’naan. “There probably was a time when it was hard to look back on that experience, but then you write it and you make it a melody and all you have left is a beautiful melody and it’s a song now. It’s sculpted, it’s made, it’s art, so it’s fine. I have redrawn my whole life that way.”

Loves the song…

Despicable Me

A very cute and funny animated movie. And it was the movie, best for fathers out there, as the show was dedicated to all fathers.

Nowadays, animated movies are getting funnier, original and full of morals. I’ll bet there will be more Pixar, Dreamworks movies to be shown in the future.

I wish I got my own minions to help me in doing things… Cute!
